“Generation Loss”

Soft ground etching with hard-ground additions on copper. The impression was taken from a baby garter snake who was killed in a traffic accident and respectfully buried after etching. The plate was shaped with a coping saw.

The oroboros eats its own tail and, in doing so, is perpetually reborn. But nothing that copies itself ad infinitum can do so without exponential mutation.

Printed onto 8.5 x 10” Hahnemuhle copperplate warm white.

Limited edition of 12.

Shipped flat in a plastic sleeve, shipping included.
